Logo to Neon Sign: How a Brand Mark Becomes a Lit Sign

The step-by-step process of turning a brand logo into a custom neon sign — file prep, sizing, color, proofing and what a China OEM needs from you.

Published November 5, 2026

Turning a logo into a lit neon sign is straightforward when you start from the right file. The factory converts your vector mark into neon tube paths, proofs the layout, then builds it in LED neon at your size and color. Here is exactly what to prepare.

Files to send

  • Vector: AI, SVG or EPS with outlines/expanded text.
  • Color: Pantone or hex for each element.
  • Size: maximum dimension or the wall space available.
  • Use: indoor or outdoor (drives IP rating).

The build steps

  1. Convert the logo paths into neon stroke routes.
  2. Lay out on a transparent or colored backing.
  3. Proof the layout for legibility at distance.
  4. Fabricate LED neon and mount on the backing.
  5. Test and pack.

Tips

Simplify over-detailed marks; very thin strokes and tiny counters are hard to read lit. A clean logo makes a cleaner sign.

Frequently asked questions

What file works best?
A vector AI/SVG with text converted to outlines; PDF with curves also works.
Can you match my brand color?
Yes — give Pantone or hex and we build the neon to it.
My logo is detailed; will it read?
We proof it first; very fine detail may be simplified for legibility.
Do you provide a proof before building?
Yes — a layout proof is part of the process before fabrication.
How long from file to sign?
About 25 days after artwork approval; add sampling time if you want a sample first.
